Welcome to the Digital Inclusion Practice Framework.
This is a place for General Practice staff to complete an assessment of the digital healthcare tools that are provided by the practice to ensure the practice is offering digitally inclusive online services.
The assessment is intended to reflect the knowledge and understanding of practice staff in recognising digital exclusion. It will also encourage the practice to review how it offers digital services, how the practice supports and enables patients to access these services and how the practice could work collaboratively with patients to embed digital inclusion.
Completing this assessment will support the practice to ensure it is offering digitally inclusive online services.
We recommend that this is completed by a member of staff who has a good understanding of the digital tools in use within the practice as well as a knowledge of the training levels of staff, and can also take forward the outcomes to make improvements where suggested.
The framework includes several modules which cover all the areas of digital services that a patient may use to interact with the practice.
We recommend that practices work within their PCN to both complete the assessment as well as utilising the implementation plan to share learning, resources and training sessions, with the aim to embed digital inclusion into all current and future digital services.
